Chantelle du Plessis
I was born in South Africa, studied in the United States and now I live and work in Bogotá, Colombia. I first fell in love with photography during high school and have rarely been seen without a camera since. I began my career as a photojournalist shooting film, developing and processing prints in a dark room, and although I have since switched to digital, my dark room days will forever hold a special place in my heart.
I love to document my travels, capturing both the finer details and the big picture. Growing up in South Africa allowed me to develop a strong admiration and appreciation for wildlife and nature. While I love to experience new cities and cultures, I find myself constantly paying attention to the natural world around me.
